Mythbusters | Part 1

In this series we are looking at things people think about church that aren’t actually true. There are times we must teach to prove something that is largely believed to be true, to instead be false. We all have heard ideas and concepts about church, the Bible, aspects of faith, being a Christian and Jesus, that although could be a longstanding belief, need to be challenged.

In any of these cases there is only one thing to do, bust that myth! This is a great series to come with your questions and invite others along to see what they think!

You can watch any of our messages online at renewalcc.com/media or listen to our podcasts on iTunes and Spotify by searching 'Renewal Church'.

  1. And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye

when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye. Matthew 7:3–5 (NLT)
  2. Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You

are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31–32 (NLT)
