Ricardo Signes spent his college years studying philosophy and, upon graduation, found that the only work available with such an education was "perl programmer." He has made the best of it, contributing hundreds of modules to the CPAN. Ricardo is one of the current caretakers of CPAN, a designer and implementor of the CPAN::Meta specification, the CPAN Testers Metabase, and one of the maintainers of the CPAN upload server, PAUSE. Ricardo is the current project manager for the perl interpreter and core distribution.
