Thomas McCorry spent 20 years with Constellation Brands, a global company known for producing well-recognized beer, wine, and spirits brands such as Corona, Modelo, Meomi, Robert Mondavi, Casa Noble, Mi Campo, and Svedka. Over this time, he progressed through a range of leadership positions, gaining experience in accounting and controls, operational finance, controllership, business partnership, strategy, and overall financial management. His work consistently delivered results, supported by strengths in strategic and financial planning, risk management, financial controls, process improvement, mentoring, accounting under US GAAP, cost optimization, valuations, modeling, and revenue management.
He began his career at the company in 2004 as a Director before advancing to Vice President of Global Accounting. In this role, he managed the consolidated accounting close process for the $3.6 billion publicly traded organization, reducing the close cycle by eight days while enhancing the quality of reporting and implementing stronger internal controls. He developed global cash flow reporting systems that cut preparation time by 10 days and improved efficiency in multi-currency statement consolidation. His responsibilities also included in-depth accounting research on complex transactions, overseeing purchase price allocations for billion-dollar acquisitions, authoring global accounting policies, centralizing intercompany transactions, and ensuring US GAAP compliance across both domestic and international operations. He played a key role in designing and implementing a new global ERP system.
In 2012, he became Vice President of FP&A – Wine & Spirits, directing strategic and annual planning for a $2.7 billion U.S. business. Two years later, as Vice President of Commercial Finance – Wine & Spirits, he centralized $150 million of non-price investments, implemented zero-based budgeting, and introduced improved forecasting tools and performance metrics that strengthened the link between sales and company results. He also restructured the sales finance team into a shared services model, enabling support for both organic growth and acquisitions without adding headcount.
He went on to serve as Chief Audit Executive and Senior Vice President & Controller before returning to the Wine & Spirits Division as Senior Vice President & CFO, where he helped redefine the division’s strategy following a $1 billion divestiture. He reduced $100 million in stranded fixed costs and built a pricing execution team that improved price realization by 500%. From 2021 until late 2023, he was Senior Vice President & CFO of the Beer Division. In this $8 billion revenue business, he reduced planned capital spending by $1.5 billion, improved governance, strengthened margins, and launched a cost efficiency program.
Before joining the company, he spent seven years in public accounting at major firms. In 2024, he became Managing Consultant at Pinnacle Growth Strategies, working with businesses to improve financial performance, manage risk, and drive sustainable growth. He serves on several boards, supports scholarships, and volunteers in his community. A graduate of SUNY Geneseo, he is a CPA and completed an executive program at Dartmouth College. Originally from Brooklyn, he is married with two children and enjoys running, traveling, and time at the beach. Thomas McCorry continues to use his extensive experience to help organizations achieve their goals.
