Juan Luis Blanco, born in Zumaia, Spain in 1967, is a graphic and typeface designer. He completed Fine Arts studies in the University of the Basque Country in 1991. He worked as a graphic designer from 1991 to 2013. His love for letters inherited from his father led him to do a MA in Typeface Design in the University of Reading in 2013-14. Nowadays he is a graphic and typeface designer, and a calligraphy teacher. He is working in several typographical projects involving Basque lettering and the Tifinagh script.
