Mike is privileged to have grown up with systems technology: embracing dial-up modems, IBM PC XTs, and programming in BASIC all by the age of 8. His professional experience spans nearly 2 decades of multiple roles: tier-1 network troubleshooting, system administration, software development, and systems engineering.

Today he calls upon his wide range of experience as a hosting performance engineer at GoDaddy, researching solutions to remove performance bottlenecks relevant to web page serving through a repeatable process of performance measurement, deep data evaluation, and continuous improvement. Mike co-wrote GoDaddy's OCSP responder and has contributed back to the Apache Software Foundation to improve mod_fcgid performance. In his free time he helps answer questions on #httpd and #centos on FreeNode and is a member of the IEEE.
