Benjamin M. Soto has over 30 years of experience as a real estate attorney and business owner. He leads two real estate-focused companies and is a member of both the DC Bar and the Pennsylvania Bar.
He founded Premium Title & Escrow, LLC in 2000. The firm provides settlement and title services for residential and commercial properties in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Tennessee. For more than two decades, it has been one of the highest-volume title companies in the DMV area. Supported by a team with more than 100 years of combined experience, the company conducts title searches, issues Owner’s and Lender’s Title Policies, manages escrow accounts, coordinates documents, and records them in Land Records to ensure accurate and marketable transactions.
He also owns Paramount Development, LLC, a commercial development firm based in Washington, D.C. The company has been involved in significant projects such as The Wharf and several apartment buildings, including 555 E Street, SW, which features a hotel, residential units, and retail space. Additional developments include 1031 4th Street, NW, 350 Maple Drive, and the Hyatt Place Hotel at 400 East Street, SW. The Hyatt Place, completed in 2015, also includes a fire station that houses units responsible for protecting the U.S. President.
He serves on the Board of Directors of EagleBank. He has long-standing roles with the DC Chamber of Commerce, the DC Public Education Fund, and the American University Real Estate Council. Earlier in his career, he handled bankruptcy cases before focusing solely on real estate transactions. Over time, he has also served on civic boards and acted as treasurer on numerous mayoral and council campaigns.
A Washington, D.C. native and graduate of American University, he has been married for 27 years and has two children, Danielle and Alex. He enjoys reading and traveling.
