BoostDraft’s journey began with a mission to eliminate deep-seated inefficiencies in the world of contract drafting and review. Our co-founder Hiroshi Watanabe, a practicing lawyer, saw the need for change firsthand. While studying in the U.S., he met Yohei Fujii, a former engineer, who was stunned by what he saw: a lawyer trapped in a tedious cycle of endless scrolling and searching just to review a single contract. "Why not solve this with an smart editor(IDE), like we do in programming?" That one question sparked the concept of an "Smart editor for Legal." Today, we are dedicated to creating a workspace that liberates lawyers from rote contract review tasks, allowing them to focus on what drives the most value.

After conducting research on cryptography and secure AI at NTT Basic Research Laboratories, he joined Bain & Company, where he led mid-term management and product strategy projects across Japan, the U.S., and India. He later conducted research on U.S. and UK legal tech at Stanford Law School. Slack for text-based updates and Gather for verbal discussions. Once a year, we host an "Offsite" event where all members, including those from overseas, gather in person. Once a month, we hold an optional "Office Day" at a rental office, providing an opportunity for members living in or around Tokyo to meet and work together in person. We hold a monthly "Game Day" on Gather, where members play online games together. This event is designed to foster cross-team interaction and provide a refreshing break from daily tasks.
