Cootha Classic is Brisbane’s Festival of Motorsport. A one-day event encompassing street sprints on the public roads of Brisbane’s iconic Mt Coot-tha. Based in the heart of Brisbane, the Cootha Classic makes motorsport easily accessible to local residents.

At the core of the event, it is a celebration of motorsport, but there is so much more to it. With boutique food stalls, live entertainment, trade exhibitors, fireworks, music, interactive displays and celebrity drivers complimenting the non-stop on track action.

3. “Racing is my life. However it’s more than that. It’s my livelihood, my mission, my commitment.“ Cootha Classic is Brisbane’s Festival of Motorsport. A one-day event encompassing street sprints on the public roads of Brisbane’s iconic Mt Coot-tha. Based in the heart of Brisbane, the Cootha Classic makes motorsport easily accessible to local residents. At the core of the event, it is a celebration of motorsport, but there is so much more to it. Cootha Classic is positioned as the premium Qld motorsport event of 2015. Celebrating the best of Brisbane. Start at the base of Mt Coot-tha in the pit lane, which will be open to the public. Walk your way up to the starting line where you can enjoy the electric atmosphere as each competitor begins their run in front of a large crowd lining the track barriers. Half way up the mountain, enjoy refreshments and displays at the Mid Station. While you are there take a seat on a trackside grandstand and enjoy the views of the beautiful Brisbane City. If you want to really experience the Cootha Classic in style, here you will find the trackside corporate marquees. Right on top of the action, with the best view of both the track and the stunning skyline, it is the ultimate way to enjoy this event. When you are ready for a break, head up to the top of the track. Here you will find Performance Alley, filled with the latest and greatest from some of the most exciting automotive businesses in the country. To top it all off head into our Boutique Food and Drink area where you can sit down, enjoy a meal and watch all the off track entertainment on the main stage. The seats here will be at a premium for the big trophy ceremony at night. This will be a perfect venue to watch the closing ceremony fireworks over Brisbane City. About the Cootha Classic
4. “The Cootha Classic is bringing old world charm back to motorsport“ Moving to a more traditional approach, the Cootha Classic is bringing a sense of refinement and old world charm to the sport of motor racing. With our inner-city location, we are ideally located to attract a wide audience and capitalise on the action sport event, in a similar style that you would see at a Polo match. With a blend of exotics, classics, competition and hypercars, we are appealing to specific audiences, not traditionally captured at local motorsport events. With custom built corporate facilities trackside, overlooking the beautiful city of Brisbane, we are redefining corporate entertainment. Our Target Audience
5. “Bringing a festival atmosphere back to racing“ It’s not just about the action on track. Giving the rarity of inner-city racing events, we could fill the entrant list ten time over. However to maintain the highest standards, we will be accepting entries that meet the strict criteria of our officials. The on track action will be a packed all day program and off track will offer a festival environment that you would expect of a top tier event. As much as we might love a party pie and sausage roll, we are looking further afield to the world of boutique eateries providing a range of exciting cusine, more to the style that you would see at a night market. Coupled with automotive entertainment, trackside displays, pit walk, live bands on stage, outdoor bar area and massive fireworks display to close out the night, the Cootha Classic is redefining what a festival of motorsport can be. 6. “Delivering Brisbane’s Festival of Motorsport to a local and international audience” Being a live action sports event, capturing and delivering content to both a local and international audience capitalises on this rare opportunity. Partnering with production house AVE, we will be producing a live broadcast that will display across three giant screens at the track. These will feature race vision, commentary, interviews, slow-motion replays as well as promos and TVC’s to bring together the pinnacle of action sports entertainment. 7. “Building a legacy“ There is little wonder that the Cootha Classic attracts such a level of interest, given the rare opportunity to race on what is usually a public road so close to the city. Working closely with Brisbane City Council, the Queensland Police Force and local members, the Cootha Classic is working hand in hand with local authorities to make this not just a one off, but a signature event for Brisbane and the state of Queensland.
