Brian Uridge is an alumnus of Ferris State University, where he studied criminal justice. He went on to get a master's degree in public administration from Western Michigan University. With over three decades of experience in law enforcement, Brian Uridge has worked with different companies.
He was appointed the deputy director of the Public Safety and Security department at the University of Michigan in 2019. Before his appointment, he was the Director of Michigan Medicine Security at the same university. At the University of Michigan, Brian Uridge has expanded his focus on policy development, regional campus integration, enterprise-wide threat assessment, protective investigation, and DEI implementation.
From 2013 to 2016, Brian Uridge was the director of security services at Spectrum Health System. During which he led a group of 200 staff members in a health system that includes 14 hospitals, 123 locations, and 27,000 employees.
Brian Uridge got certified as a protection professional in 2017 by the American Society for Industrial Security. He currently resides in Plainwell, Michigan.
