Scoping Brand Analysis Before we do anything - we make sure that we know exactly what the brand stands for. Knowing The User After all, how can you design if you don’t know who you are designing for? Workshop Coffee For both Workshop Coffee and their customers, coffee isn’t just a drink, it’s a lifestyle. Sketches Rene, Creative Director “Our aim when creating the style guide was to keep it clean and keep it simple. It is often more difficult to design less extrava- gently, but for me the results can be more powerful” From paper to pixel: the design process begins with rudimentry sketches and is developed into fully fledged designs. Staying Agile An Agile Methodology lies at the heart of both our design and development processes. This means that we are in regular contact with the cli- ent as the project progresses. After every step in the pro- cess our team sits down with the client and shows how the project is progressing. Using this methodology, problems can be ironed out as we build rather than at the end of the project when it would be too late. This approach to our designs allows us to be more flexible with our builds and gives us the ability to change and adapt our designs as we receive feedback. User Centric Design We are in constant dialogue with those that will be using our designs, both client and user. Making sure that we consult with the users of our designs at the end of each stage in the build process ensures that we can easily address any problems that the users have before it’s too late. How We Work Design and Build James, UI/UX Designer A clean, clutterfree design. Online Store Mobile friendly, with some nifty features. Screenshots and code Results Sytle Guide Rather than designing individual pages, we use a modular design process to determine how our websites will look. This way decisions on visual di- rection are made by both visual designer and developer. To do this we create a style guide . This means that page and content layout can simply be designed by sketches. We first build a style sheet. This includes the style of attributeas like bullet points, quotations, headings, call to action and fields. Individual elements are then quickly replicated across multiple pages in accordance to the user stories. Research and Scoping
