The work of Spanish architect Rafael Moneo, 1997 Pritzker Prize and recipient of the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement of the 17th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, 2021, demonstrates that respect for what already exists is no obstacle for freedom in architecture.
