Dr. Seth A. Eidemiller is a board-certified emergency physician who has built his career through steady effort and diverse experience. Dr. Seth Eidemiller grew up on a multi-generational dairy farm in Idaho, where he learned discipline and responsibility at an early age. Before starting his journey in medicine, he worked in wildfire suppression and construction, taking on hands-on jobs that taught him the value of teamwork, adaptability, and practical problem-solving. He earned bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Spanish, which helped him connect with people from different backgrounds. After college, he entered the University of Nevada, Reno, for medical school and then completed his emergency medicine residency in Fresno. He is now the Vice Chair of the Chico Emergency Medicine Physician Group.
At the University of Idaho, he finished dual bachelor’s degrees. Afterward, he returned to Boise to fulfill his medical prerequisites, studying laboratory sciences and gaining experience as a lab instructor and manager. He also worked in biomedical research for three years, focusing on systems biology and human health, which gave him a solid foundation in scientific thinking.
Before medical school, he served as a wildland firefighter for a federal agency and worked in construction, where he developed skills in carpentry, electrical systems, and residential projects. His experience in the restaurant industry also helped him improve his ability to handle stress and multitask in fast-paced environments.
Dr. Eidemiller began medical school in 2012. During this time, he rotated through various clinics and hospitals, gaining experience in general medicine, pediatrics, surgery, psychiatry, and internal medicine. He completed his residency in Fresno, a high-volume emergency department, where he trained in airway management, resuscitation, line placement, and bedside ultrasound. He learned the importance of communication and efficiency while treating a wide range of emergencies and chronic health conditions.
After residency, he worked at Mercy Medical Center in Merced and joined his current physician group in Chico in 2020. In 2024, he was named Vice Chair, where he now oversees daily operations, supports staff, and continues providing patient care. He also maintains his clinical skills with moonlighting shifts in Fresno.
Dr. Seth Eidemiller holds board certification and an active California medical license and is committed to ongoing growth and patient care. Dr. Eidemiller values service, learning, and clear communication.
