Griffith Littlehale, raised in Toledo, OH, embodies the values and spirit often associated with Midwest Americana. He attended St. Francis De Sales High School, where he excelled academically, ranking eighth in his class when he graduated in 2018. Alongside his academic achievements, he was an active participant in school sports, earning the title of All-American Swimmer during the 2017-2018 school year. His high school graduation was marked by recognition beyond the standard accolades, reflecting his commitment to both academics and athletics.
After high school, he pursued a major in psychology, with a strong interest in clinical work. Currently enrolled at the University of Toledo, he maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA while working toward a Bachelor of Science degree. His outstanding academic performance earned him the President’s Education Award during his first year, and he has been recognized by both the Jesup Scott Honors College and the Kappa Psi Fraternity for his achievements.
His upbringing instilled in him a strong sense of spirituality and community service. Throughout high school, he volunteered regularly at local churches, participating in events and initiatives aimed at helping the homeless. His commitment to giving back continues in college, where he volunteers at United Way food drives and seeks out other opportunities to engage in charitable work during his breaks from school.
In addition to his academic and volunteer pursuits, he has developed a keen interest in graphic design. He spends his free time honing his skills with digital tools and online media, creating a growing portfolio of professional projects. His early work includes designs for school-related advertisements and college events, as well as commissioned pieces for local theater productions and church-related projects. His design work has also extended to creating Thanksgiving and Christmas card artwork, along with logo designs for a local church.
Beyond his studies and design work, he has developed a passion for the classics in philosophy and poetry. Influenced by his exposure to these works during his studies, he frequently read authors such as Bret Easton Ellis, Edgar Allan Poe, Descartes, and Oscar Wilde. While he does not aspire to be a writer, his engagement with these classic texts has enriched his understanding of philosophy and higher thinking.
As he looks to the future, he is considering the possibilities that lie ahead as he completes his psychology degree. Graduate studies and clinical work are the traditional paths in his field, but he is also interested in organizational behavior, a growing area of focus for many industries today. At the same time, his skills in digital design offer him the potential to build a freelance career, providing him with an additional income stream. He recognizes the value of diversifying his opportunities and plans to pursue both paths.
Griffith has also developed a keen awareness of the world beyond Toledo, OH. He is eager to travel, explore different cultures, and gain new experiences as soon as he can. Like many in his generation, he sees the modern world as a global and international space filled with opportunities. While previous generations may have focused on local and regional prospects, He and his peers are looking beyond national borders, recognizing the potential for growth and learning abroad.
