Harminder Thind, also known as Hermin Thind, has spent over two decades building businesses that combine operational effectiveness with a people-centered approach. From his early days managing a Subway franchise to his success in expanding Vapor Maven into multiple states, his career has been marked by steady growth, calculated risk-taking, and a commitment to the community.

Born in 1980 in Punjab, India, he and his family moved to Seattle in 1992 when he was twelve years old. This transition helped shape his strong work ethic and belief in self-reliance. After high school, he earned an associate degree in computer science, but his true passion was business ownership. At the age of 19, he purchased a Subway franchise, where he quickly acquired essential business skills, including managing staff, controlling inventory, and delivering excellent customer service. This experience laid the foundation for his leadership style, which focuses on presence, quick problem-solving, and leading by example.

After selling his Subway franchise, he explored other opportunities, including running a Dairy Queen and opening the first Indian restaurant in a small town. Later, his family acquired a motel in Springdale, Arkansas, and during the 2007 recession, he took over operations to keep it running. This experience taught him resilience, helped refine his skills in cost management, and deepened his understanding of customer service.

In 2014, Harminder recognized an opportunity in the growing vaping market and opened the first Vapor Maven store. His vision was to provide customers with quality products and guidance on safer alternatives to smoking. As the business expanded, he concentrated on developing efficient systems for hiring, training, and maintaining consistent standards across all locations.

Today, he continues to lead his ventures with a hands-on approach, striking a balance between business growth and community involvement.
