Jabari Stafford has dedicated his life to racquet sports, transforming an early passion into a purposeful and accomplished career. From competing in ATP-ranked tournaments to leading top racquet programs, his journey reflects focus, discipline, and a lasting commitment to growth within the sport and its communities.
Throughout his professional path, Jabari has held several key roles, including Director of Operations at Jamira Tennis Center, Managing Director at Philadelphia Tennis Club, and Racquets Professional and Pickleball Coordinator at Lancaster Country Club, which is recognized as one of America’s Top 30 Platinum Clubs. His leadership combines athletic experience with strong organizational insight, enabling him to create programs that strike a balance between performance, learning, and engagement for players of all ages.
Growing up in Philadelphia, Jabari learned the values of dedication, perseverance, and teamwork at an early age. These values have guided his coaching and management approach, in which he focuses on creating environments that foster both athletic and personal development. His ability to connect with players and members has been a key part of his success, ensuring that every individual feels supported and motivated to grow.
His journey began at the age of five when he started playing at the Arthur Ashe Youth and Tennis Center with his sister, Emira. Encouraged by their father, they trained at a private facility he built for them, which later became the Jamira Tennis Center. The name combined their first names and came to represent family, discipline, and progress. Under Jabari’s leadership, the center became a respected part of Philadelphia’s racquet community, offering structured programs, fitness training, and player development opportunities for both recreational and competitive athletes.
During his time at George Washington University, Jabari played Division I tennis while earning a degree in Business Administration and Finance. His experience as a student-athlete strengthened his leadership and mental focus, skills that later shaped his coaching and management career. After college, he competed on the ATP and ITF circuits in more than 20 countries, gaining valuable international experience that informed his coaching methods.
Today, at Lancaster Country Club, Jabari Stafford continues to advance racquet sports through teaching, mentorship, and community engagement. For him, the game represents discipline, unity, and growth, values that remain central to everything he does.
