2. What is Gutenberg?
3. The Goal • Completely revamped editor experience that uses blocks to layout and format content. • Actively being developed by approximately 187 developers • Seeks to enhance WordPress’ strength of being able to easily author richly laid out posts. "The editor will endeavour to create a new page and post building experience that makes writing rich posts effortless, and has “blocks” to make easy what today might take shortcodes, custom HTML, or “mystery meat” embed discovery.”

6. What should I do? Get EXCITED!!! But not too excited...don’t install Gutenberg on a production site just yet. Gutenberg is still in BETA and is NOT ready for production. You have been warned. • Try it out! • Pay Attention to WordPress and plugin updates (as always). • When the time comes to update, check your plugins FIRST! • Make Backups! (Just in case) • Don’t be afraid to update, just be informed.
