Jason Nissen is a ticket brokerage and hospitality marketplace specialist whose professional journey spans close to three decades. Over the years, he has led large-scale ticket sales, developed hospitality packages, and organized events that include Broadway productions, global sporting competitions, and music festivals. His career reflects a steady ability to take complex operational requirements and deliver experiences that feel seamless to clients and audiences alike.
Jason’s work draws on two core strengths: his background in mathematics and his ability to build connections with people. His education in mathematics allows him to analyze logistics, finances, and strategies with accuracy. At the same time, his natural skill in relationship building ensures that colleagues, clients, and partners feel valued. This balance of technical knowledge and interpersonal skill has guided his career and allowed him to manage demanding projects successfully.
Because of this combination, Jason has been able to anticipate challenges, adapt to changing circumstances, and create solutions that keep projects moving forward. Whether handling a sporting event, a concert, or a festival, he has shown a consistent ability to meet operational demands while also focusing on the quality of the attendee experience.
Jason began building this foundation after earning his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Hamilton College in 1994. While at Hamilton, he was a wide receiver on the football team and also served as social chair of his fraternity. These roles gave him valuable experience in leadership, teamwork, and communication, all of which became central to his later work in the ticket brokerage and hospitality marketplace.
A significant part of Jason’s career has been his role at The Ultimate Fan, where he serves as an officer. For more than 28 years, he has helped guide the company into a respected provider of tickets and hospitality services. Through his work, clients have gained access to some of the world’s most prestigious events, including the Super Bowl, the Final Four, Wimbledon, the US Open, and the Olympics. His ability to combine logistical detail with personal service has allowed The Ultimate Fan to serve individual fans, corporate groups, and Fortune 500 companies.
Jason also expanded his career into event creation. Between 2015 and 2017, he was CEO of Minus Zero Music Festival, an Electronic Dance Music festival held in Stratton, Vermont. The festival offered a unique combination of EDM performances with skiing and snowboarding, giving attendees a fresh experience that merged music and outdoor activity. Jason oversaw every aspect of operations, including ticketing, merchandise, stage construction, and safety measures. His work at Minus Zero highlighted his ability to take bold, creative ideas and turn them into well-executed events.
Across his ventures, Jason has followed a consistent philosophy that combines vision with direct involvement. He credits much of his success to strong communication and collaboration. From building his first client relationships through college connections to developing long-term partnerships with sports organizations and corporate clients, Jason has always emphasized the importance of relationships in achieving lasting success.
He has also faced challenges that required practical solutions, including working through regulatory environments in ticket sales and balancing profitability with sustainability. In preparing for the Minus Zero Music Festival reboot in 2024, he implemented eco-friendly initiatives that reflected his commitment to responsible business practices while ensuring the event maintained a high-quality experience for audiences.
