13. Basics about Flutter • High-performant cross-platform sdk for creating Android and iOS apps • It is open-source project, mainly driven by Google • Current state is ‘Alpha’ • According to speaker from Google, some their apps already are built with Flutter
14. Some technical stuff • Intellij / Android Studio • Dart • Libraries on https://pub.dartlang.org/flutter • Platform-specific API is still accessible
15. More “Some technical stuff” • NOT OEM widgets • Own graphics engine • Compilation to native code • Super fast stateful HOT-reload. Even the debugger remains connected
16. Pros and cons • New language - Dart • New API where you definitely don’t have experience • “Redefining” of basic tools like Crash reports • Single implementation • Common effort • Fast development iterations • Dart’s features like async/await
