John Lennox Cummings

John Lennox Cummings, who goes by Lennox, graduated summa cum laude from the College of Charleston Beatty School of Business with a 3.95 GPA. He was nominated for the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, an award given to the top 10% of seniors, and was also a Merit Scholar. He completed a major in Business Administration focusing on Finance and minored in Spanish. His proficiency in Spanish supported him during his travels to Spain and Mexico, enabling him to communicate effectively with colleagues.

Alongside his academic achievements, he gained practical experience through various internships and work roles. He managed to balance his studies with real-world work, demonstrating discipline and strong time management skills. By the age of 22, he had built a solid foundation for his future career.

Lennox Cummings worked as a Tax/Accounting Intern at a financial advisory firm in Charleston, where he expanded his knowledge of financial planning. He became proficient in QuickBooks and Intuit Tax software. He prepared tax returns for 17 C corporations with an average turnaround time of 13 days, and for over 200 families with a 5-day average. His efforts contributed to a 100% client retention rate and no audits.

Before that, he interned at a finance and client relations firm that shares his last name, although they are not related. There, he supported 137 client relationships and assisted with financial reviews and internal fee audits for assets exceeding $400 million.

Cummings is also a certified Public Notary in South Carolina. Additionally, he served as an Inside Sales Intern at a real estate company, where he made 250 calls daily using Sierra Interactive to identify potential buyers and sellers, achieving a 7% qualified lead rate.

In 2023, he worked as a Store Experience Guide for a well-known outdoor retailer, regularly exceeding daily sales goals of $15,000. He also worked as a Server Assistant at a Charleston seafood restaurant and as District Manager for a landscaping company in North Carolina, managing finances for over 60 properties across three counties. His first job was as a cashier at the age of 16 in Asheville, where he also assisted with social media marketing.

John Lennox attended an all-boys boarding school in Asheville as a Headmaster Scholar and was a member of the National Honor Society. He volunteered regularly at his church’s outreach program to support the homeless, contributed to Habitat for Humanity’s home-building projects, and tutored students with special needs in his community.
