Icons: Dissected

http://lanyrd.com/2013/uxcb13/scqtqf/

I will be talking about the brief history of icons, their functions and types. Taking it through the Ui design and information design processes, we'll practice how you can approach designing icons at the end of the session. The task will be to design 2 icons for 2 devices that may or will become mainstream in the future. Simply using the provided pen & paper, participants will experience how they can abstract an object or concept as an icon using their visual vocabulary.
