Lawyer George Sidiropolis

Lawyer George Sidiropolis approaches trial work with a clear focus on responsibility, preparation, and the practical use of the civil justice system. He practices in West Virginia and is the founder of The Injury Rights Law Firm, where he represents individuals and families affected by serious injuries, wrongful death, and insurance bad-faith conduct. His work is centered on helping clients navigate complex legal situations during some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

His career has been shaped by representing people rather than institutions, often handling cases against corporations and insurance carriers. Sidiropolis believes the justice system should operate as a safeguard for ordinary individuals, not as a shield for powerful interests. In his view, the courtroom remains an important place where facts can be tested, and accountability pursued through careful, disciplined advocacy.

The Injury Rights Law Firm was established in 2023 to focus on high-impact litigation involving catastrophic injuries, permanent impairments, and fatal incidents. A substantial portion of his practice involves commercial trucking crashes, traumatic brain injury claims, and insurance bad-faith disputes. His litigation style relies on thorough investigation, detailed case preparation, and the clear, evidence-based presentation of issues.

One of the most significant outcomes of his legal career occurred when he served as co-counsel in a Jefferson County, Ohio, case that resulted in an $82.1 million jury verdict. The case involved a motorcyclist who lost his left arm and left leg as a result of a commercial truck crash. The verdict was reported as the most significant trucking verdict in Ohio and the largest amputation verdict in history, reflecting the importance of careful trial preparation and strategic presentation.

Before building his trial practice, George Sidiropolis of West Virginia served as a Municipal Court Judge in Benwood. In that role, he was known for fairness and efficiency in courtroom proceedings. His time on the bench gave him firsthand insight into how judges evaluate evidence and arguments, an experience that continues to influence his approach as a trial attorney.

His academic path includes earning a Juris Doctor from the West Virginia University College of Law. He is admitted to practice in West Virginia, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Before law school, he earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Wheeling Jesuit University and later returned as an Adjunct Professor to teach American Jurisprudence.

Sidiropolis remains active in professional education and mentorship through organizations such as the West Virginia Association for Justice, where he serves on the board and programming committee. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice, the Attorney Information Exchange Group, and the Academy of Trucking Accident Attorneys. His ongoing education includes national training programs and advanced CLE courses.

Outside of his legal practice, George Sidiropolis has a longstanding interest in collectibles, including comic books, VHS tapes, and movie posters, and he devotes much of his personal time to caring for his cousin Mark, with whom he enjoys sharing movies and quiet time together.
