    abroad, the clothing you require depends on what type of voluntary placement you are doing. There are placements in offices, animal shelter, schools or even hospitals and each placements will require different outfits and equipments.
  2. 1. Volunteering Abroad When Working With Children  If You

    are working with children, you need to set a good example for them.  Consider local cultures and don’t run around in hot pants and revealing top, if locals don’t wear those types of clothes either.  Take comfortable clothes with you that you don’t mind being ruined.
  3. 2. Volunteering Abroad In Manual Labor Placements  Some organization

    offer placement during which you can build help shelters or schools for local communities.  If the organization doesn’t supply you with safety gears, such as helmets, working gloves, or protective shoes, consider taking these.
  4. 3. Volunteering Abroad In Hospital Placements  Check before your

    placement as a nurse, doctor or physio therapist, if the hospital is providing you scrubs, facemasks or rubber gloves.  If not, consider bringing a box of those, which help you in maintaining health and safety standards.

    are working with animals, chances are that you will get dirty, so take some clothes with you that you don’t get mind getting dirty or ripped to pieces.  Consider bringing rubber boots for working in wet and muddy condition.  If you are working with animals do not bring your newest pair of designer jeans with you.
