number of dental associ- ation members are able to accept people with special needs, and more than 10% of all patients have been transferred from the center to mem- ber clinics. We believe that over the past 42 years, the Center has advanced in its under- standing of dental care for the disabled and has also fully fulfilled its role as a training ground for special needs patients. Supporting people with special needs and their families from child- hood to the end of life in the community where they were born and raised, is a reassuring sup- port for them and their families. UHC can be re- alized through collaboration with dental associa- tions, government, schools, and welfare. It is the hope that UHC can continue to provide more comprehensive and effective support and im- prove the quality of life of people with special needs.
