5. Self - Assessment (Critique) Huge work done and would not have been possible without a teamwork and good communication. Learned a great deal of CS techniques and troubleshooting and applied them. One of the best and useful CS Elements classes, leaving us with a portfolio. -> Well done ◦ Weekly meetings and communication over Discord ◦ All parts of the project completed and work smoothly ◦ Mastered back-end Flask and front-end React-Bootstrap ◦ Parsing XMLs and JSONs -> Could be better ◦ Connectivity between backend-frontend-GCP (pain!) ◦ More accommodative design for higher range of screen sizes ◦ Implement cross-model search and different filtering options ◦ Implement more APIs to add pictures and mythology for the models

You can choose a country and view the holidays or just pick a date by the provided calendar. -> Well done ◦ Interesting non-generic project idea ◦ Clean Design! ◦ Good Search ◦ Good idea to browse a calendar -> Could be better ◦ Duplicates (e.g slightly different names, labour day, worker’s day) ◦ Shifted dates or mistyping of the holiday ◦ Not mentioned if it’s a day off ◦ White bands of flags are “disappearing”
