Nicholas Michael Hallahan, known to many as Nick Hallahan, has dedicated most of his life to the water and the craft of boating. Growing up in Missouri near the Lake of the Ozarks, he learned the value of respect, responsibility, and care when operating any vessel at a young age. What began as small boating trips turned into a lifelong career built on experience, patience, and professionalism. He is a USGS 200-ton Captain with over 15 years of experience operating and maintaining yachts throughout the Gulf Coast, East Coast, and Caribbean.
His early life on the lake gave him a natural understanding of the water and the importance of preparation. His career direction was already clear when he earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Troy University. After graduation, he moved to Florida and began taking every opportunity to work on boats, learning firsthand about mechanics, navigation, and vessel operations. These early experiences formed the foundation of his professional growth.
Nick Hallahan started as a deckhand and later advanced to mate, gaining valuable knowledge aboard vessels ranging from 40 to over 100 feet. Through dedication and continuous learning, he earned his OUPV (six-pack) license and later achieved a 200 Ton Master’s license, STCW95 Basic Training, Maritime Security Awareness, and various engineering certifications. His experience includes working aboard yachts such as Better Boat, Blue Eyed Girls, Happy Hour, LUMAR, and Love Life, managing and maintaining vessels up to 143 feet.
He is known for his ability to balance technical skill with practical leadership. He performs maintenance, oversees refits, and ensures that every vessel he manages runs efficiently and safely. His leadership style is built on accountability, communication, and consistency, earning respect from both crew and owners. Outside work, he enjoys boating, snorkeling, spearfishing, off-roading, and volunteering with the Shy Wolf Sanctuary, staying active and grounded.
With a strong background, dedication, and calm professionalism, Nicholas Michael Hallahan continues to pursue opportunities in private and charter yachting, providing reliability and confidence to every owner he serves.
