  1. Scientific definition? • Sound produced by continuous and regular vibrations,

as opposed to noise. – Oxford Dictionary • “Sound is a type of energy made by vibrations. When an object vibrates, it causes movement in surrounding air molecules…” – Science World • Sound is produced when an object vibrates – PASCO scientific
  2. Law of nature • Vibration is fundamental to universe •

Source : String theory, Quantum Fluctuations and Vacuum Energy, Gravitational Waves
  3. Molecules • Group of two or more atoms held together

by chemical bonds. These bonds are the attractive forces that keep the atoms connected.
  4. • “Whether or not we hear it, everything has a

sound, a vibration all its own,” writes Joshua Leeds in The Power of Sound (Healing Arts Press, 2001).” • That sound is called resonance, the frequency at which an object naturally vibrates. Each part of our bodies has its own natural resonance, and vibrational medicine is based on the idea that disease is a result of those natural resonances getting out of tune – whether due to stress, illness or environmental factors. Body Vibrations
  5. “Every specific diseases (physical, emotional and mental) has a frequency.

Certain frequencies can prevent the development of disease and other would even destroy it” – Dr Rife Cymatic instruments are used to treat asthma, eczema, tumors, infections, blood diseases, emotional imbalances “According to Bruce Tainio (researcher and founder of Tainio technology) … the healthy human body resonates at a frequency of 62-78 MHz, and disease starts when the frequency drops to 58 MHz.
  6. Earth is vibrating • The Schumann Resonance is like the

Earth's heartbeat, vibrating at 7.83 Hz. This is a natural frequency of the planet. It is similar to the brain's alpha waves, which help us feel calm and focused. • Because of this, the Schumann Resonance may help people enter a state of relaxation, creativity, and visualization. Some even believe that listening to this frequency can have healing effects on the body. • https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sc humann_resonances
  7. Effects on Plants • “Plants responded differently to various musical

genres, with some promoting growth (Gandharva Veda music) and others hindering it(rock music), western classical had mixed effects” - The Sound of Music and Plants – De Vorss 1973 • Loudspeaker emitting Gandharva veda music, plants embraced. Loudspeaker emitting hard- rock music, plants moved away – “The secret life of plants , Harper and Row 1989”
  8. Effects on animals • Researchers at Teikyo University conducted a

study on male mice that underwent heart surgery. They examined the effect of different types of music on recovery. Music Exposure: Post-surgery, the mice were exposed to: • Opera music (La Traviata by Verdi) [1] • Classical music (Mozart's sonatas) [1] • New Age music (songs by Enya) [2] • Single sound frequencies [1] • No music (control group) • Findings : • Prolonged Survival: opera 26.5 days, Mozart 20 days. Enya or single frequencies , survival times similar to the control group (around 7-11 days). • Immune Response: The study suggested that exposure to certain types of music might influence the immune system, potentially leading to prolonged graft survival. 9. More experiment – Music, mice and maze • "I had

to cut my project short because all the hard-rock mice killed each other," Merrill said. "None of the classical mice did that.” • “72 mice, playing music :10 hrs/day, Mozart-listening mice cut their time back 8-and-a-half minutes. hard-rock mice added 20 minutes to their time, making their average maze-running time 300 percent more than their original average” • https://edu- cyberpg.com/Music/Mice_and_Music_Experiment_Mo.html • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78QtW_ AxWFU
  10. Effects on Human: Classical Music Reduces Stress & Sedation •

Listening to classical music, can reduce cortisol levels (the stress hormone) and decrease sedative requirements during medical procedures • Reduction in Cortisol levels: • A systematic review and meta-analysis highlighted that music listening is strongly associated with stress reduction, evidenced by decreased physiological arousal, reduced cortisol levels, lowered heart rate, and blood pressure - https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/17437199.2020.1846580 • Another study demonstrated that listening to music before and during medical interventions considered stressful resulted in significant positive changes in cortisol levels, indicating stress-reducing effects. - https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3734071/ • Decreased Sedative Requirements During Surgery: • Research has shown that patients who listened to music during surgery under regional anesthesia had lower propofol consumption and reduced cortisol levels compared to the control group, suggesting that music can reduce sedative requirements while maintaining adequate anesthetic depth. - https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3110826/ • Another study found that listening to music during general anesthesia could reduce the dose of propofol without compromising anesthetic depth, indicating the sedative benefits of music. - https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10186032/
  11. The Magic of 432 Hz – The Universe’s Harmony -

Paul • A Frequency in Tune with Nature – 432 Hz is said to be the heartbeat of the Earth, aligning with natural vibrations. • When playing in 432 tuning, Paul explains, middle C is closer to 256Hz, a frequency that is a multiple of 8Hz, the rate that is known as “the heartbeat of Earth.” • Golden Ratio Connection – 432 Hz frequency resonates with the divine mathematics of nature, creating balance and harmony. • Calm Your Mind & Body – Scientific studies suggest 432 Hz music reduces stress, anxiety, heart rate, and blood pressure—bringing deep relaxation and peace.
  12. Shocking Truth About Loud, Fast Music • Loud, fast music

has a powerful effect on the body, triggering a surge in cortisol, the stress hormone. • For untrained runners, this can lead to an extra burst of energy, helping them push harder, but at the risk of increased stress and fatigue. • In sports, the booming sounds of brass bands before and during games amplify the emotions of both players and spectators, fueling excitement and adrenaline. • However, prolonged exposure to high-tempo music like rock or heavy metal may have an unintended side effect—it can make cortisol levels addictive, much like caffeine!
  13. Sound can also be Weapon • Sonic weapons : use

low-frequency sound waves (in the audible range, typically 20 Hz to 20 kHz) to disorient, control, or incapacitate targets. • LRAD : High-intensity sound waves cause discomfort, pain, and even temporary hearing loss. Used by police and military for dispersing crowds. • Ultrasonic : t frequencies above 20 kHz, beyond human hearing. These waves can penetrate objects and affect tissues at a molecular level, causing internal damage.
  14. Sounds familiar? • Sound : • can heal • can

give addiction like caffeine (feel really great at the beginning but have a less than favourable long- term effect) • Can destroy
  15. Everything can be divided into 3 Activity Goodness (Sattva) Passion

(Rajas) Ignorance (Tamas) Worship Desireless Motivated Concocted Motive Knowledge Enjoyment No goal Food Vegetable Vegetable and Animal Animal Music Peaceful Active Irrational Outlook Detachment Desire Ignorance Health Long term Short term Destructive Next life Upper planets Earth Lower planets Action Selfless Motivated Violent Values Scriptural based Self-centered False Knowledge Soul My body + others My Body
  16. Ragas • Picture 1 : Ragini Todi, consort to Raga

Malkauns • Picture 2: Raag Hindola • Picture 3: Megh Malhar
  17. Sound = meaning • Ear Receives Sound → The ear

captures sound waves and sends vibrations to the brain. • Sent to the Mind → The auditory system transmits signals to the mind for processing. • Mind Analyzes → The brain deciphers meaning, recognizing patterns, speech, and emotions. • Stores Results for Future Use → The analyzed data is stored in memory, forming experience. • Result: Knowledge! → Repeated analysis and storage lead to understanding and wisdom. • This process continuously refines perception, making learning and growth possible!
  18. Vedic definition of sound • Persons who are learned and

who have true knowledge define sound as that which conveys the idea of an object, indicates the presence of a speaker screened from our view and constitutes the subtle form of ether. SB 3.26.33
  19. AUM = all of the vedas • "The goal, which

all Vedas declare, which all austerities aim at, and which humans desire when they live a life of continence, I will tell you briefly it is aum. The syllable aum is indeed Brahman. This syllable aum is the highest. Whosoever knows this symbol obtains all that he desires.” – Katha Upanishad
  20. Om – Essence of all • “The essence of all

beings is earth, the essence of earth is water, the essence of water are the plants, the essence of plants is man, the essence of man is speech, the essence of speech is the Rig Veda, the essence of the Rig Veda is the Sama Veda, and the essence of Sama Veda is the udgitha (song, Om).”- Chandogya Upanishad
  21. Sound creates and dissolves • Creation of universe and •

destruction of universe • breathing and sound of vishnu
  22. Science thinks beginning of universe is Sound • Sound waves

that rang out in the early universe sculpted its structure. The best measurement yet of their imprint on galaxies is a boon to dark-energy studies. • About 30,000 years after the big bang, matter collapsed around dense seeds of dark matter. Outward pressure from photons caused the collapsing matter to rebound, creating acoustic waves, like ripples in a pond - New Scientist
  23. Spritual Sound Wave = Mantra Man = manas = mind

Tra = deliverance Sound which deliver mind
  24. Mantra and its positive effects • Two important scientific studies,

one by Neha Racca and another by Glen Rein, Ph.D., established conclusively that chanting the Gayatri Mantra and other Sanskrit mantras positively impacted the body. They found that chanting Gayatri mantra and the Sanskrit mantras increased the ability to impact the REG and absorb UV light (by as much as 8.2% in one experiment). They produced a large unwinding effect on DNA.
  25. Mantra Repairs telomeres • Part of our chromosomes, telomeres are

the DNA – comparable to the protective plastic tips at the end of shoelaces – that keep our genetic material from unraveling, which is what leads to disease and premature aging. • Good cell renewal in our stem cells promotes health and youthfulness, leading to fluid joints, excellent lung capacity, a strong immune system, a sharp brain, and a healthy heart. If cells don’t have telomere maintenance, the telomeres shorten and die
  26. Kirtan • When the caregivers practiced Kirtan Kriya for 12

minutes a day for two months, they increased their telomerase and decreased their gene expression related to inflammation by 43%. • https://www.naturalmedicinejournal.c om/journal/meditation-increases- telomerase-activity-and-improves- mental-health
  27. Mantra effects Subtle Body Both prayer and mantra caused striking,

powerful, and synchronous increases in existing cardiovascular rhythms when recited six times a minute. Baroreflex sensitivity also increased significantly, from 9.5 (SD 4.6) to 11.5 (4.9) ms/mm Hg, P<0.05. Conclusion: Rhythm formulas that involve breathing at six breaths per minute induces favorable psychological and possibly physiological effects. Source: Luciano Bernardi, Associate Professor of Internal Medicine
  28. Mantra : Spiritual effects Realize spiritual form of Sound ,

sound and objects are non-different Krishna.
  29. Etymologically • krish means - the source of everything and

na means the source of all bliss • Rama means Ra = destroy all sins and na = give pleasure to Radha (devotees)
