  1. the crossfit phenomenon The CrossFit regimen calls for “constantly varied,

high-intensity, functional movement.” The program forges essential movements necessary to prepare any individual for the unknown physical demands of life. The CrossFit phenomenon rose to global popularity approximately 7 years ago. It has created a community of athletes across the world with an opportunity to compete amongst one another via the web on CrossFit.com’s daily WODs. Reebok has entered into a long- term partnership endorsing Crossfit in 2010. Since 2011, the Crossfit Games (broadcasted on ESPN) have accepted athletes from all over the world and has now transitioned to a worldwide movement of fitness innovation. The aim of CrossFit is to provide a broad, general and inclusive fitness model for any person able and willing to accept it. The fitness needs of an Olympic athlete, a business woman, a young collegiate athlete, a teacher, a policeman, a professional basketball player, or the elderly who are all equal in value just differ by degree can benefit from CrossFit methods. All workouts can be scaled to meet individual levels of intensity. There are currently over 3,000 accredited gyms worldwide. CrossFit is the elite fitness model of the future. It is a community-based premier fitness program that utilizes the collective action of the “team” and the support of the CrossFit Coaches, to motivate and guide its athletes to new levels of physical fitness. by Crossfit Armada
  2. the problem the solution There are very few Crossfit apps

on the market and none are fun or easy to use. The apps that I’ve seen are poor in design with tiny buttons and are hard to read because of the color choices and “busy screens”. Create an app that has a clean pleasing design and enhances your Crossfit experience with intuitive functionality which in turn makes it fun.
  3. The WODS Settings Gym Locator The home screen has a

big bright easy to use navigation for your “WOD’s” or “Workout of the Day”. This is featured because recording workout results is the main focus of the app. From the home screen you can change any setting you wish, most will be ON/OFF. Finding a Crossfit gym is easy with the locator. Links in to the Crossfit.com database. home
  4. Instructional Video Library Leaderboard “PR” or Personal Record “ME” Personal

“MAX” Video Library so you will always know the proper technique no matter where you are. Tap into the Crossfit community with the Leaderboard. See how you stack up against others in your local area, region or the country. Check out all of your PR workouts in one place The “ME” page is the destination of all the workouts you log. They can be sorted by date or alphabetically. Easy to find 1 rep max’s so they can be used to calculate workouts.
  5. Flip Timer Turning the iPhone on it’s side activates the

Clock timer. Now you have an easy way to get to your timer quickly so you can start your workout and it’s already in the horizontal position too. flip it
  6. Tap the Timer Single tap on the main screen to

stop Double tap on the main screen to reset With a couple quick gestures you can start, stop and reset the timer so you don’t have to stop too long and get that heart rate down...plus you’re all sweaty. tap it
  7. The Process: Logging your workout results in 4 easy steps

    1. Find your workout name by scrolling or using the search field. 2. See the workout details. 3. Enter your info and “LOG IT”. 4. See your results, nice and cozy in the “ME” section. log it
  8. Social Media Integration Before you hit the “LOG IT” button,

don’t forget to let all your friends know what a beast you are in the gym. share it
  9. PR bell function If you check the PR bell box

while logging your workout you will hear a “Ding!” “Ding!” bell sound as if you were ringing it in your gym. A common site in any Crossfit gym is a PR bell. This is a fun way to celebrate your achievement of beating a personal record. ring it
  10. Leaderboard Just like when you were a kid at the

amusement park shooting a water pistol into that little hole to send your horse to the finish line, watch the Leaderboard to see who is the King or Queen of your gym. work it
