IT infrastructures, unlike computing systems which typically concern independent or stand alone systems, is a concept being developed to describe large scale, complex, and networked technologies.

In the last few years we are seeing how technologies to manage IT infrastructures are emerging in the market as well in open communities. These technologies are coming out from the experiences of big companies like google, facebook, twitter etc.

New waves of running IT services are contaminating small and big companies, open and closed communities: these new forms of organization build beneficial IT infrastructures able to scale up and down and maintained by few people.

Someone call this phenomenon cloud, who runs in IT stuff call it more organization, new ways of thinking and more work. OpsCon is an open meeting dedicated to IT Infrastructure & Operations people who want to share / know / announce technologies/ideas in this field. OpsCon wants to be a hacker space.
