Paul Wiedmaier

Paul Wiedmaier is an experienced Project Engineer with four years of work in civil and renewable energy construction, managing projects exceeding $90 million in value. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, along with an OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification. His focus is on coordinating multidisciplinary teams, maintaining schedules, and ensuring safety, quality, and compliance from project initiation to completion.

For the past three years, he has been with Weiss Construction/Weiss Renewables in St. Louis, Missouri. As an Assistant Project Manager, he manages RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications, conducts field visits to verify progress, and addresses on-site challenges. He also coordinates engineering, procurement, and construction activities, calculates bulk material quantities for procurement planning, and monitors subcontractor invoices, change orders, and purchase orders to ensure adherence to contract requirements.

In his role as Project Engineer at the same company, Paul worked closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to support a $90 million project, ensuring smooth communication and timely issue resolution. He contributed to the development of Construction Work Plans with emphasis on safety and sequencing, created an Excel-based asset management and maintenance tracker, verified equipment specifications with plant engineers, and managed plant security access in line with site protocols.

Previously, Paul worked as a Project Engineer at JS Vig Construction in Plymouth, Michigan. His duties included supporting scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor coordination, preparing and reviewing subcontracts, RFIs, and RFCOs, performing quantity takeoffs, and assisting in bid preparation for projects ranging from $500,000 to $20 million.

Earlier in his career, during a Field Engineer Internship with Motor City Electric in Dearborn, he contributed to operations at the Ford Truck Plant by designing cable tray systems, creating wire tags, reviewing diagrams, and working with engineering teams to troubleshoot equipment.

In his senior year at Wayne State, he was part of the winning team in the Electrical Contracting Innovation Challenge, the first such achievement for the university. Outside of his professional work, Paul Wiedmaier volunteers at Holy Family Parish in Novi, Michigan, stays active, enjoys golf, traveling, and reading, and is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, holding dual citizenship in the United States and Brazil.
