For more than 15 years, Rafael Amaral has built his career in the renewable energy sector, contributing to the successful deployment of utility-scale power systems across multiple continents. With a foundation in electrical engineering, he learned early that results in the field are the accurate measure of credibility. His focus has consistently been on ensuring turbines remain operational, grids function reliably, and teams execute projects safely and on time.

Rafael currently serves as Executive Vice President at a renewable energy company, where he is responsible for approximately $220 million in P&L. His role spans field services, project execution, repowering, and asset management across wind, solar, and battery storage operations in North America.

His professional journey began in Brazil, where he graduated as valedictorian in Electrical Engineering. Early in his career, he designed high-voltage substations and power systems, developing a deep understanding of how infrastructure performs under load. This technical experience became essential as he transitioned into leadership roles overseeing large-scale energy operations.

In 2011, Rafael Amaral of Florida joined a global energy organization, taking on roles in wind commissioning and site management. He led efforts in turbine delivery, engineering coordination, and customer interaction. Later, he managed service teams across multiple Latin American countries, overseeing a $10 million business with roughly 120 employees. These responsibilities helped him shape effective operational practices for distributed and remote teams.

Rafael later moved into global leadership, where he was responsible for workforce strategy for about 1,600 field employees in 25 countries. He eventually led global renewables operations valued at nearly $190 million, using lean principles to improve safety, reduce inefficiencies, and stabilize performance.

He went on to lead regional operations across North and South America, managing over 1,200 employees and up to $160 million in revenue. In 2024, he oversaw the integration of more than 10 acquired companies into one platform. That same year, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer, leading all construction and operations in the U.S. and Canada.

Throughout his career, Rafael Amaral has remained focused on execution, operational integrity, and delivering long-term value in the renewable energy space.
