Rich Turasky is a seasoned investment entrepreneur with deep expertise in commercial real estate investment, finance, and development. As Founder and CEO of Capital Companies, he has directed more than 100 commercial real estate investments across several states, overseeing portfolios that include over 1,000 tenants.

A native of Illinois, Rich was born in 1970 and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Bradley University in 1992. He later completed executive education coursework at Harvard University to strengthen his leadership and strategic management capabilities. He began his career in the early 1990s by representing large Chicago-based operating companies in commercial real estate matters while sourcing promising private and institutional investment opportunities. This experience laid the groundwork for his later involvement in complex capital structures and long-term portfolio strategy.

As his responsibilities expanded, Rich moved into mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and executive board service. He became known for guiding multi-state portfolios, maintaining strong occupancy levels, and aligning operational oversight with investor expectations.

Throughout his career, Rich has founded, led, or served on the executive boards of more than 20 operating companies. These ventures have spanned industries such as plastic manufacturing, pharmaceutical development, aviation, beverage distribution, and commercial and digital lending. In each case, he has combined capital investment with strategic direction to support measured growth and sound governance.

His real estate activities have included office, industrial, retail, and multifamily assets. Among his development projects is the Huntley SPEC Industrial project, which reflects his ability to coordinate financing, development planning, and execution. Collectively, his holdings represent a diversified platform built to generate steady income and long-term appreciation.

In the past three years, Rich Turasky has contributed to private and public mergers and initial public offerings totaling about $2 billion. He has also participated in Special Purpose Acquisition Companies and charitable boards. Capital Companies recently marked 24 years of operations and closed a $100 million acquisition of an RV park fund, underscoring its ongoing commitment to disciplined expansion.
