Robb Stein is an entrepreneur and business leader who has built and managed several companies while also working as a real estate investor for more than two decades. Raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, he has remained closely connected to the city where he grew up. Throughout his career, he has focused on developing businesses while also contributing to the community through volunteer service, nonprofit involvement, and charitable support.
Robb is the principal owner of the Cincinnati Byrider location, part of a national dealership network known for selling inspected and reconditioned vehicles. The dealership provides in-house financing programs that help customers establish or rebuild their credit by reporting payment activity to the major credit bureaus. This model allows individuals who may not qualify for traditional financing to obtain reliable transportation while working toward improved financial stability. Across the United States, more than 1 million people have trusted Byrider when purchasing vehicles and seeking financing.
Alongside this role, Robert Stein serves as President of Derojo, Inc., a Cincinnati-based company with operations across several industries. The organization owns and operates auto dealerships, subprime finance companies, a real estate development group, and a reinsurance company. The company often focuses on identifying opportunities in niche markets where businesses may benefit from new capital investment and operational restructuring. Through these efforts, it works to strengthen companies and support long-term growth.
He also serves as Chairman of Card Sound Reinsurance Group, a company that focuses on specific high-risk insurance exposures that can provide higher returns in favorable tax environments. At the same time, he leads another major automotive venture. Robert Stein, of Cincinnati, is the President and owner of Alford Motors, Inc., recognized as the largest subprime auto dealer group. The company combines vehicle sales with financing solutions designed for individuals who may not be able to secure loans through banks or traditional auto lenders. By offering both sales and financing services, the business aims to provide practical solutions for customers who need transportation access.
Beyond his professional work, Robb Stein has been actively involved in community and philanthropic initiatives throughout Cincinnati. For nearly ten years, he served on the Board of Directors of the StarShine Hospice program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. The hospice program focuses on providing palliative care and emotional support for children and young adults with serious illnesses, helping families make the most of their time together.
Stein also served on the board of Living Arrangements for the Developmentally Disabled (LADD) for four years. The organization helps adults with developmental disabilities live independently while offering education, employment opportunities, and training programs that strengthen their ability to participate in the community.
His volunteer efforts also include long-term involvement with the American Heart Association. Since 2001, he has supported the organization through volunteer leadership and helped establish its Young Professional committee. Robb also founded the Heart Ball after-party and contributed to leadership initiatives focused on fundraising and public health awareness.
In addition, he served as a former co-chair of Fall Feast Cincinnati and remained on its steering committee for more than a decade. The Thanksgiving event brings together more than 1,000 volunteers each year to serve meals, distribute coats, and provide access to healthcare and personal services for thousands of individuals in need.
Robb Stein earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in Bloomington. Outside of his professional and charitable commitments, he enjoys golf, skiing, boating, and outdoor challenges.
