  1. GETTING SUCCESS AS A FREELANCER AND HOW TO WRITE KILLER

PROPOSALS Saad  Hamid   Manager  -‐  Pakistan  @  Elance
  2. How can you be a successful freelancer?

“Every  successful  freelancer  is  a  good  marketeer”
  3. How can you be a successful freelancer?

“Create  a  brand  out  of  yourself”
  4. How can you be a successful freelancer?

“Find  ways  to  get  more  projects”
  5. MAJID MUSHTAQ Start  with  compliments  in  client's  mother  tongue  :)

It  always  works.  See  if  a  client  is  from  Spain,  saying  "Ola,  Como  Estas?"  will   definitely  make  his  smile  and  thats  where  you  get  hold  onto  him.     Always  use  Forma9ng.       I  mean  bold  the  main/keywords  or  underline  them  to  get  more  of  clients   aLenMon.  Also  numbered  down  your  key  services  or  sample  work.  It  shows   you  are  much  organized  and  make  it  easy  for  client  to  read  your  whole   proposal.
  6. M. ADNAN Tell  them  how  you  will  do  their  project

in  a  bit  detail.       Consider  yourself,  you  are  doing  this  project  and  tell  them  confidently  what   things  are  required  you  from  your  client  to  be  provided  or  incomplete.       •  What  are  lacking  points  in  their  project  idea  and  how  they  can  get  it  right.       •  Ask  quesMons  to  the  point  and  don't  write  a  generic  proposal.  Asking   relevant  quesMons  will  make  you  a  strong  candidate.
  7. ZAIN NADEEM “I  am  a  drop-‐out  but  i  consider  7c's

of  my  Business  CommunicaMon   Class  very  vital  and  essenMal  to  write  a  killer  resume”
  8. ASAD NADEEM “Keep it according to need of clients. No

" Hi "s rather Straight to the point”
  9. AHMAD AWAIS Never  forget  what  you  do  best!   Listen

to  your  client,  take  into  consideraMon  all  of  their     input,  weigh  the  opMons,  study  details,  know  the  target  audience.     Be  the  one  who  can  say  NO!   If  you  do  good  work  for  good  clients,  it  will  lead  to  other  good  work  for   other  good  clients.  If  you  do  bad  work  for  bad  clients,  it  will  lead  to  other   bad  work  for  other  bad  clients.     Be  versaFle,  and  always  give  more   I  In  fact  choose  to  use  a  coffeemaker  to  boil  vegetables.  Why?  Because  if  I   used  something  else  that  just  makes  coffee,  my  client  would  ask  me  “Can  it   boil  vegetables?”
  10. M. ASHFAQ (1)  Carefully  review  the  project  descripMon  and  see

whether   you  can  deliver.     (2)  Firstly  give  your  brief  background  relaMng  to  the  project     (3)  More  focus  on  your  strategy  highlighMng  your  strategy  to  execute       (4)  ALach  some  samples  (best  100%  idenMcal  to  the  project)     (5)  Give  references  of  previous  projects  that  you  have  completed     (6)  Give  a  glimpse  of  your  Client's  feedback  about  your  work
  11. SHAHROZE NAEEM Proposals  need  to  show  three  things,  above  all:

-‐  DedicaMon  to  deadlines,   -‐  Commitment  to  providing  the  best  of  creaMvity,  and   -‐  Promising  regular  communicaMon  to  keep  the  client  updated     I  believe  a  freelancer  that  submits  a  proposal  with  all  of  the  aforemenMoned   items  definitely  wins  the  job,  hands  down.
  12. SAAD HAMID “Get  CreaFve  and  think  different”     •

Have  you  ever  thought  about  making  a  video  proposal?   •  How  about  sending  a  personalized  greeMng!   •  Greet  them  on  holidays  or  global  events   •  Make  a  website  with  a  specialized  proposal
