  1. LOGLINE “A space enthusiast girl must stop her friendly robot

from suppressing her emotions and instead, embrace them, or risk losing them forever.”
  2. SINOPSIS In a world mixed with robots and tube TVs,

Luna, a space enthusiast, stumbles upon a small friendly robot that distracts her from the dysfunctionality of her home by playing funny videos and videogames. What Luna doesn't realize is that the robot adapts to her interests while growing and draining Luna's emotions. Luna not only loses her negative emotions, but her happiness and passion for space also diminish. Due to this loss of emotions, she has a falling-out with her only friend. All these emotions that she can't express keep accumulating and have to come out at some point, which is exactly what her “friendly” robot desires.
  3. LUNA MAIN CHARACTER Luna is a little dreamer, and her

biggest wish is to become an astronaut and go far away from planet Earth, partly because she wants to escape her parents' fights. She is adventurous and not afraid to get her hands dirty searching for something to play with. The situation at home has made her a bit shy, but she has a friend with whom she communicates through a cup, and they create worlds in their heads.
  4. KAMA MAIN CHARACTER Kama is a friendly robot that Luna

found while rummaging through the trash. It is the antagonist of our story, and what it seeks is to steal Luna's feelings in order to grow and eat her. At first, it appears adorable, but gradually reveals its true nature, transforming into a terrifying monster.
  5. LUNA'S FRIEND SIDE CHARACTER Although he does not appear on-screen,

Luna's friend is an affectionate person who is also a space enthusiast like her. Luna talks to him through their telephone cup communication device, and together, they create worlds while watching the stars through their telescopes. The friend is concerned about the changes in Luna's personality but is too scared to ask her what's going on. THE PARENTS SIDE CHARACTER Luna's parents also don't appear on-screen. Luna's parents don't exactly see eye to eye. They are two complicated individuals who are constantly arguing, creating an atmosphere of tension at home. This strained dynamic has played a significant role in shaping Luna, making it challenging for her to connect with people and leaving her alone most of the time.
  6. DATA SHEET Animation Technique The animation technique is a combination

of stylized 3D backgrounds and 2D animation for the characters. Duration The short film will last between 5 to 10 minutes. We have the ability to tell the story in a short amount of time and also in a single location: Luna's room. Target The target audience will be young individuals and young adults aged between 16 to 26 years old.
  7. GENRE AND TONE The genre is a sci-fi drama with

a touch of horror. The idea is for the tone to gradually shift from something that seems childish to something darker as we witness Luna's loss of emotions.
  8. DIRECTOR'S VISION When feeling down, our first instinct is to

grab our phone and scroll to something that make us feel better. This works perfectly, bringing a momentary relief and releasing dopamine, but it plunges us into a 'Numbness' where we stop feeling joy and excitement. Suppressing these emotions often leads to explosive outbursts of anger or extreme sadness. This struggle, a cause of depression and social media or gaming addiction, is a message I wish to share. I was trapped in this state for nearly six years, feeling helpless. But eventually, with help, I rose, and I aspire to help others rise too. I envision the short without dialogue as it's not relevant to the story. The visual style will initially be something more childlike, but gradually turning darker, reflecting the monster that reveals its true face as the short progresses. Despite the darkness in my story, I trust in its message and I believe it can uplift those who can relate and find strength to rise.
  9. BIO I'm Santiago Amin Rey, a writer and storyboard artist.

Right now, I'm studying 3D film production at Coco School Mexico. Although I was born in Argentina, I spent most of my childhood and adolescence in Dominican Republic and Mexico, which has given me an interesting mix of cultures and perspectives. I tend to lean towards stories with social themes, and I always strive to inspire through my work. Thanks for reading! S tI o Renata
