Sharing is Caring… for People and Systems
In sharing craft we most often think about people. But the systems we have around us not only facilitate this, but often themselves reflect values of independence or cooperation. The topcoder community brings together designers, developers and data scientists to work in a highly repeatable and measurable way - creating millions of data points on how people work. Based on this information, numerous academic works from Harvard and MIT and plenty of zany anecdotes and real world examples reveal how sharing in and outside of disciplines shapes skills and capabilities in communities. Fruit flies and jujitsu will lead the way to enlightenment.

higher levels of experimentation and wider breadth of search under final disclosures. On the other hand, a policy of intermediate disclosures accelerates knowledge sharing amongst the population of innovators. Intermediate disclosures also provide signals of the most productive existing technical approaches, generating a greater degree of common knowledge regarding the shape and outlines of the technological frontier. try to know other(s), the fact that you compete with them doesn’t mean you are enemies! And watching their submissions is another source of power (feel like a vampire)
