  1. Do you feel that the teaser trailer follows the conventions

for the genre? • gave off a crime/thriller vibe; looks good • Thriller/action; I think it works • Yes
  2. Do you find the lighting effective? • Yes, it provides

for fairly clear images • Lighting was decent considering it was dark • Yes, very • Yes, the dark lighting gave it a more “intense” feeling • Yes, it fits with the genre; dark adds to the suspense • Yes, it was dark and eerie • Adds to the ‘feel’ of the film • Yes, especially with the hands
  3. Does the non-diegetic sound fit the “feel” of the trailer?

    • Yes, almost scary • Yes, it sets the mood clearly • Indeed it does • Maybe try adding a knuckle-crack noise? • The music gives it a hastened, intense feeling • It was the right sort of speed and worked with the time of the clips • Fast and action paced; it really worked
  4. Do you feel all the locations are appropriate for the

genre? • Yes; looked kind of gloomy and eerie • The alleyway swap over and the lady walking on the road proved very effective for the “thriller” feeling • They all seemed very ‘gangstery‘ • The alleyway clip worked really well
  5. Do you feel that a Cert15 is appropriate for this

film? • Yes, I think it could get away with a 12 but because of the “dead body’ I think the 15 is more appropriate • No gore, but because of the likelihood of violence, I think it is correct • The suggested violence could be inappropriate for younger audiences • There is the possibility for drug use and violence, so yes
  6. Do you think that the camera work is appropriate? •

A good variety of angles and lengths of shots • Yes, but the scene with the “dead body” seemed too static because it is quite long • Yes • I’m not sure there as any other any other way to shoot it
  7. Does the trailer give away the correct amount of information

for the film? • Are you going to add a release date or maybe just the year • It grabs your attention but doesn’t give too much away. Maybe emphasise the “coming soon” by putting it on another slide • Yes, you want to know the girl is and what is in the bag, etc • Maybe give away a little bit more character detail • The correct amount for a teaser trailer • Hardly gives anything away but that adds to the mystery
  8. Is the editing appropriate? • I like what you did

with the dubbing of sound • I thought it was really effective • Yes, the quick cuts suit the genre • Mostly, the dead body was on screen for too long • I did enjoy the use of superimposition and cut aways • Yes
  9. Would you say that the pace of the teaser is

appropriate for the genre? • Yep, the music is a great help • Yes, considering you limitations with your genre • Yep
  10. What improvements could be made overall? • Slightly slower shots

of the production companies • Maybe a darker background for the production companies because they flash too brightly • Maybe fade out the production companies • Shorten the clip of the dead body • The “green screen” from the MPAA is a bit fuzzy, maybe find a clearer one • I really liked it; it reminds me a lot of RocknRolla
