The Emoji Movie - “Loser Lounge”

Ah, “The Emoji Movie’”. A lot has been said about this film. While the two main characters were just a hand and a face (essentially a square and a circle), they were more complex than you'd assume at first glance. They could be deceptively challenging to draw and emote, despite their simplicity of design. But their basic shapes actually made their personalities all the more pronounced. The Loser Lounge sequence is a great example of how personality can shine through and be enhanced thanks to a less complicated character design.
