3. Vim Workshop FYI • The Vim workshop will be the extended “FLAW” for this meeting (ending around 8:30) • If you don't want to learn Vim or need to leave early, feel free to leave, we won't be offended
4. Google & Microsoft • Who went? • How was it? • Anyone doing or interested in doing an internship with Microsoft? • Chris did if you want to ask him about it.

6. Movie Night • Last quarter we had a movie night as we approached finals • Should we have one in two weeks? (Week 9) • Or just a regular meeting? • If so, any movie ideas?
7. S* ome = new S() • Blizzard recently laid off 600 employees • 10% were actively involved in game development • Upcoming Blizzard titles include: – WoW: Mists of Pandaria – Blizzard DOTA – Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm – Diablo III – “Titan” ­­ Blizzard's “Next­Gen” MMO

S* ome = new S() • Windows 8!! >.> • I (Brad) recently installed the developer preview on a VM. • A Windows 8 Consumer Preview ISO is available on the Microsoft website • Microsoft is going Metro • To work on Intel and ARM architectures – Same OS for desktop, phone, tablet, etc. • Anyone tried it? Opinions?
9. S* ome = new S() • Raspberry Pi • It has been released! • $25 or $35 dollar computer • OS based on Debian 6 • They claim it has the processing power of a Pentium 3 and the graphical power of the first X­ Box. • Possible use in education and home theater. – Can output full HD.
10. Torrents Anyone? • Here's something I found that seems pretty useful • iblocklist.com – Manages a list of IP ranges that you would probably like to avoid when connecting to peers to download a torrent. – Either subscribe to get access to their full list of ranges – Or use the free lists that each contain IP ranges of a given subset (corporations, trademark agencies, etc.)
