Trish Schnabel is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (LBA, BCBA). With training in both areas, she supports children, teens, and adults with mental health concerns, executive functioning challenges, and autism spectrum–related needs. Her work emphasizes emotional well-being while helping clients develop the behavioral skills needed for coping, communication, and daily routines. She has more than 25 years of experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum, and her counseling background includes depression, anxiety, life stressors, military families, codependency, and ADD/ADHD.
She currently provides individual, group, and family therapy for clients managing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and executive functioning difficulties. She integrates counseling approaches with evidence-based behavioral strategies, conducts comprehensive assessments, and designs treatment plans suited to each client’s goals. She also collaborates with other professionals to support coordinated care and has led workshops on autism, executive functioning, stress management, and practical coping skills. Her combined experience in counseling and behavior analysis allows her to support both neurotypical and neurodivergent clients clearly and thoughtfully.
Since 2010, Trish has operated an ABA company offering therapeutic consultation for adults on the autism spectrum and individuals with developmental disabilities. Her work included interviewing families and clients, observing daily environments, reviewing existing supports, and identifying adjustments that could improve outcomes. She developed consultation and behavior support plans and trained caregivers, group home staff, and parents. She also provided one-on-one ABA therapy for children with autism, carried out behavioral assessments, recommended strategies for behavior change, implemented interventions, and supervised BCBA candidates and RBTs.
As a military spouse, Trish has volunteered for 20 years supporting military families and veterans through deployments, relocations, separations, and challenges involving combat stress and PTSD. She served on a state committee focused on reducing educational barriers for military children and received both the Shield of Sparta and the Commander’s Award for Public Service. Her ongoing community involvement includes helping establish sensory-friendly movie showings that became a valued local program.
Her education includes a psychology degree from George Mason University, a Master of Education in Community Agency Counseling from Auburn University, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst Graduate Certification from Pennsylvania State University. She also appeared on “Wheel of Fortune” in January 2020, winning $65,495 and a trip to Italy. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, concerts, time with loved ones, walking her Labrador Retrievers, and watching SEC football. These experiences continue to guide Trish Schnabel's meaningful work and life.
