Tyler Berl has built his career in environments where urgency is constant, and judgment must remain clear under pressure. For more than fifteen years in Jacksonville, Florida, he has delivered direct patient care in emergency and transport settings. Trained and board-certified in emergency medicine, pediatrics, and tactical medicine, he has served as a stabilizing force for patients and teams during moments when outcomes hinge on calm execution.

After becoming a licensed paramedic in 2011, Tyler gravitated toward high acuity care without hesitation. He joined Orange Park Medical Center, spending six years in the emergency department before advancing to the trauma team. Daily responsibilities included trauma alerts, cardiac arrests, strokes, septic patients, and pediatric crises. These experiences refined his ability to assess rapidly, intervene decisively, and function effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Throughout his tenure in the emergency department, Tyler mastered advanced cardiac life support, airway management, rapid sequence intubation, and ventilator management. He earned the trust of physicians and residents who depended on his consistency during resuscitations. His composure intensified as situations worsened, allowing him to lead during chaos. In addition to saving lives, he also participated in three successful emergency deliveries, marking rare moments of celebration.

Tyler later expanded into pediatrics and interfacility transport, where technical skill and emotional sensitivity are equally critical. Caring for children required heightened attention to physiology and fear management. During COVID, his expertise positioned him among the few paramedics authorized to transport pediatric patients on high-flow oxygen systems. He routinely managed ventilated, unstable patients while titrating medications in confined transport environments.

In 2020, Tyler Berl earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in public health, deepening his understanding of patient behavior and population health. He completed nursing school in 2025 and became a registered nurse that summer. After temporarily relocating to care for his grandmother, he returned to Florida ready to resume practice. Grounded by discipline, faith, and family, Tyler brings depth, reliability, and perspective to every clinical role.
