Tyler Ross recently moved from Manhattan to San Francisco, California, with his wife and daughter after living in New York City for over 10 years. The family is now settling into their new life on the West Coast. In his free time, when he’s not caring for his daughter or writing, Tyler explores the Bay Area, documenting the sights, sounds, culture, and cuisine for others considering a similar move.

He has been working through more than 62 miles of mountain bike trails and bike lanes, photographing landmarks and mapping out the best bike routes. Tyler rates these routes based on difficulty and shares his findings with fellow cyclists, combining his love for exploration with his passion for cycling.

Having lived in Manhattan for many years, Tyler enormously appreciated food. Since moving to San Francisco, he has been testing the city’s culinary scene. Tyler enjoys the variety of flavors from Mexican and Italian to Japanese and Vietnamese. He also indulges in fresh seafood, particularly crabs and oysters, and appreciates the local farm-to-table culture.

Tyler is also a dedicated collector of rare stamps, coins, historical books, and manuscripts. He enjoys preserving these items and connecting with their stories. Tyler also enjoys playing tennis and golf, valuing the mental discipline and physical challenge these sports offer.
