Vishal Makan

Vishal Makan is an entrepreneur working across real estate and government contracting. He is originally from Dallas, Texas, and has ancestral roots connected to South Africa and India. He serves as a Partner focused on real estate and government contracting, based in Washington, DC, where his work reflects steady growth, discipline, and a long-term focus across diverse business areas.

Makan is associated with a holding company and acts as a Managing Partner for two organizations he helped establish. Through this structure, he has guided operations focused on government-contract–driven real estate and facility development. In parallel, one of the organizations concentrates on post-disaster response services, with a primary emphasis on housing solutions designed to support recovery efforts.

In addition to these responsibilities, he maintains a passive role as an advisor and broker within a boutique real estate firm. The firm operates across multiple U.S. markets and owns and operates multifamily properties, hotels, gas stations, and retail spaces.

Vishal completed his undergraduate studies in Real Estate Finance and Economics at a respected university and later earned a master’s degree in Real Estate Finance. His professional journey includes experience in structuring, developing, and closing real estate transactions, as well as contributing to business development initiatives.

He believes that success also involves service and has volunteered with several nonprofit organizations focused on community support and social responsibility. Outside of work, he values golf, travel, and reading, interests shaped during his early years. He places strong importance on relationships, spending time with family and friends while planning a future with his fiancée.
