  1. Why solar panels? Electric power for most space missions has

been provided by converting solar radiation directly to electricity. Why? 1. high reliability 2. tolerance to possible degradation 3. light weight 4. high conversion efficiency, because the area available is usually limited. So basically, mass to power outlet ratio is the smallest.
  2. WHAT WE ENVISIONED? An app that helps people plan their

daily activities in a sustainable way, whether they're on Earth or in Space.
  3. ACTIVITY PLANNER Because lists make everything easier - they're easy

to scan and you always know how much power you have left.
  4. How does it work? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSFvGIZ-7FE&feature=youtu.be Step 1: Choose panel We

have found 32 solar cells technologies, out of which you can choose the type of panel you have. Step 2: Insert your area Insert the area covered by your solar panel array. Step 3: Select month The solar radiation varies according to meteorological conditions in a given month. We have used as example the data made available from the sensors in the HI-SEAS habitat, and calculated the average monthly solar radiation with this data. Step 4: Add activities Plan your activities according to the power available. This way, you can prioritize your tasks and the use of certain devices in a sustainable way.
  5. ACTIVITY PLANNER Because lists make everything easier - they're easy

to scan and you always know how much power you have left.
  6. POWER CONSUMING DEVICES The power consumption database is comprised of

devices from 3 categories. HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LABORATORY EQUIPMENT
  7. DEMOCRATIZING SUSTAINABLE AND ECONOMICAL POWER CONSUMPTION We can use this

solution for the HI-SEAS Habitat, but also in a normal home, a hospital or a laboratory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kkJudzH qdA&feature=youtu.be
