  2. When you write a summary: 1.  Mention the source and/or

    author 2.  State the author’s main idea (do not change or add your own idea) 3.  State the author’s most important evidence or sub- points (do not include details) 4.  Use your own wording as much as you can (do not change terms/jargons) Organization of summary: Introduction tells the reader about the kind of material, the title of the material, and the author, and it also tells the main point of overall material Middle (or body) contains the main ideas chronologically Conclusion tells the conclusion of the author Use your own words but do not change the ideas/ order Annisa R.
