  2. Release LSHIP, UniCabinet apps after On-Site. UniCabinet/LSHIP applications due after

    last session. Bonezen/PAB will interview and release decisions by the September 12. LSHIP are accepted as SPD/HC Candidates in Leadership Training during Summer/Fall. They are officially accepted once they are in a funded session. Summer 2017 On-site Last session → Leadership Training starts with a weekend at camp (Sept. 15-17) then a week of daily 2-3 hour meetings. Concludes with twice monthly training meetings. For the first year, the training is led by PAB/Bonezen. In the future, it will be led by UniCabinet. Last week of UCLA summer break →

    have all of fall to prep for winter/spring with their co team. Volunteer recruitment (classic camp and OCP) during first 3 weeks. Volunteers are not accepted into a session yet. Responsibilities include... • Uphold UniCamp outcomes and mission through organizational strategic planning • Liaison between UCLA campus, UCLA UniCamp, and University Camps Inc. • Oversee fundraising for UCLA UniCamp • Risk management • Owns website • Owns social media UniCamp Student Chair
  9. The partnership committee, overseen by the Chair of Partnerships, is

    a group of UCLA students who oversee all external UniCamp partnerships. One person in the committee is a signatory. As part of top cabinet, the chair has a middle-tier stipend. As part of lower cabinet, the vice-chairs have the lowest stipend. Their responsibilities include... Partnerships Committee Signatory finds campus grants, pulls in campus resources, and works with other UCLA orgs. Supporting UCLA UniCamp fundraising by applying for campus and community grants Supporting LSHIP by coordinating initiative days and assisting with the partnership between the SPD and the partner org. Being liaisons to partner orgs by attending partner meetings, organizing family info sessions, organizing camper busses (if needed), and facilitating camper registration (potentially including collecting forms and responding to calls/emails) Doing miscellaneous things including leading an internal UniCamp grant (if possible) and owning the UCLA UniCamp brand (e.g. Woodsey Wear and marketing/outreach to UCLA/LA).

Volunteer Committee Signatory books rooms for meetings and on-campus fundraisers Working with UniCabinet to interview, hire and train LSHIP. Supporting UCLA UniCamp fundraising by managing, promoting, and creating opportunities for student fundraising efforts Supporting LSHIP by coordinating retreats, assisting with On-Site Training, setting them up with Gorilla Marketing for sessions shirts, and booking volunteer busses up to camp. Marketing and outreach to the UCLA student population by coordinating student volunteer recruitment, Fall and Spring All Camp Events. Supporting the UCLA student volunteers with their student fundraising, collecting volunteer forms, setting up Live Scans, coordinating Specialist Training, and planning banquet. Doing miscellaneous tasks including maintaining an inventory of supplies up at camp and down the mountain.
  11. LSHIP have similar roles as the past. Each session is

    led by a Session Program Director. Throughout LSHIP training, Head Counselors can apply to be part of a SPD’s team. LSHIP is the only group that cannot be a Classic Camp/OCP volunteer or a member of UniCabinet. End of summer — LSHIP training Fall quarter — volunteer recruitment, all-camp volunteer training (giving an intro to their initiative), sort volunteers into sessions, and session grants/fundraising. Winter quarter — lead session volunteer training, lead session retreat, and help with volunteer fundraising. Session Leadership Spring quarter — community events (initiative day, service day, etc.), staff all-camp volunteer events, and develop summer programming with volunteers. Summer — Run their week of camp.
  12. University Camps, Inc. is UniCamp’s parent org and primarily interfaces

    with camp through UniCabinet and LSHIP. Responsibilities include... • Risk management • Site/Facilities • Food services • Large scale fundraising • Budget allocations • Hire, train, and manage professional staff ◦ Office Staff ◦ Kitchen Staff ◦ Sail Staff • Manage fleet with Sail Staff ◦ Vans would be the responsibility of Sail Staff and available to be lent out to UCLA UniCamp volunteers University Camps, Inc.
