  6. 95% Anti inflammatory diet… Limit carbohydrates – avoid nonorganic gluten

    & ½ your days food in vegetables/fruit, purple potatoes Colorful phytonutrients: berries, papaya, pomegranate, leafy greens 2 cups Cruciferous vegetables: broccoli, cauliflower, 1-2 raw garlic, brussels, etc. A little Fermented foods daily – caution sauerkraut/kimchi if White blood cells are low, chia seeds, pickles, olives, etc Healthy fats and oils – variety of nuts (soaked and dried if possible) Extra virgin olive, avocado, macadamia, MCT oil is great. Flax-seed meal – 2 Tbsp, organic non processed soy like tofu/tempe/nato/edemame ½-1 svg - Natto kinase (soy) reduce metastasis A variety of beans, nuts, seeds, mushrooms, peels Use many herbs and spices : cinnamon, turmeric, oregano, thyme, etc Organic Green tea, Essiac tea – 2 cups apoptosis (green tea not with Velcade chemo) Wild caught Fish, bone broths Grass fed animals/eggs/organ meats limited – (can build Insulin growth factor in some people) Cooked organ meats

    eat is minimally – mixed research - increased IGF-1 Meat Quality is key – mixed opinions - increased IGF-1 - Expensive - Avoid grilled/blackened/ smoked meats & fish) - Unhealthy carbohydrates – ie: soaked old fashioned oats vs instant oats - GMO can be harmful for some bodies - juices Unhealthy Fats- use the YUKA app to discern - Avoid canola, corn, safflower, grape seed, vegetable oils Sugar – minimal is better and use the YUKA app and if you crave it your chemistry may be imbalanced. Ok Monk, stevia, Allulose, xylitol, erythritol - 100% avoid fake sugar like sucralose, aspartame, diet drinks Alcohol – less is better

  9. Protein Powder & non-meat foods  Some good Brands: 

    Orgain, Svelte, Garden of Life, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, etc  NakedMass.com, Katefarms, Naken Whey, NorCal Organic Whey, Weight Gainer, Benecalories, Premier protein, Unjury, Fairlife, MRM, – to gain weight  PEA, HEMP, WHEY PROTEIN is good  1.2 grams per your ideal weight in Kilograms = how much you should consume/day when on chemotherapy  Aim for 20 to 30 grams of protein with each meal and 10 to 15 grams of protein with each snack depending on your weight  Meat and fish serving size of 25 grams/3 oz is about the size of the palm of an average person's hand.
  10. Diet KEY Points  Reduce inflammatory foods and triggers (YUKA)

     Use the YUKA app for sweetners  Eat a Variety of healthy foods  Alcohol and sugars keep at minimal and for celebrations  Do the best you can through chemo and afterwards you can focus even more
  11.  Clean drinking water sources - RO system & drink

    ½ your body weight daily in ounces  Switch to low-tox home and cleaning products - avoid Teflon and use stainless steel pains or nontoxic pans  Using essential oils instead of synthetic fragrances  Avoiding BPA plastics  Healthy lotions and soaps – (YUKA app & EWG.org)  Cotton and linen clothes and bedding  Avoiding Roundup Do you best and don’t stress as we can’t avoid everything!   12. Meals around chemotherapy  Finish dinner and just have clear

    liquids, then break-fast  Less to no food the night before and day of chemo  It reduces side effects of chemo  Cancer cells do not like it  The microbiome likes it  It helps the chemotherapy get into the cancer cells
  13. Key Points on Eating/Fasting around Chemo Days  Eat a

    light meal the night before chemo  Bring a light, healthy meal with you during chemo  Keep hydrated the day prior and days after  It’s ok if you don’t eat much the day of, but eat higher fats such as avocado, MCT oil, nuts, chicken soup  Eat minimal protein the day BEFORE and OF and the day AFTER chemo but back to higher protein 2 days after chemo  Consider the fasting mimicking diet for 2-5 days using Dr. Long’s Prolon food and working with a nutritionist from createcures.org for those already implementing a healthy lifestyle and feel confident to do so.
  14. What Supplements are ok during chemo? Low dose food-based vitamins

    ½ of recommended dose “Mary Ruth’s liquid multivitamin” is ok No synthetic multivitamin unless your oncologist ok’s. low dose DHA fish oil of 250 mg is ok but not higher Mgs Some oncologists are NOT ok with Probiotics, prebiotic powders ok Liquid minerals are ok “Ancient minerals” “Gut Ion” at Sunrise Natural Food store Melatonin is ok and helpful Sleep THC gummies for steroid Side effect Vitamin D3K2 based on your labs Magnesium, calcium, electrolytes, essential oils
  15. When on anti PDL-1 “Keytruda” “Tecentriq” “Opdivo” Immunotherapy avoid: 1.

    Elderberry 2. Probiotics (ok prebiotics) 3. Cannabis/Rick Simpson oil 4. Capsules of Mushrooms > 550 mg 5. Astragalus more than 1000 mg/day 6. Herbs that modify the immune system
  16. SLEEP SUPPLEMENTS ok during chemo MAGNESIUM •Forms in capsule/tab/powder drink

    •Causing loose stools: Magnesium CITRATE & OXIDE (CVS, COSTCO/SAMS) •NOT causing loose stool: Magnesium Glycinate, Taurate (heart), Chelate, Malate, L-Threanate (brain/mood) MELATONIN – improves apoptosis and reduces chemo side effects •Start low 1 mg and increase to up to 20 mg and some slow released Melatonin mixed with regular Melatonin (higher doses are possible) CBD/CBN/THC LOW doses •Start low 2 mg and go up to 10 mg of THC/CBD/CBN for sleep when on steroids but if on Keytruda/Opdivo, keep the cannabis doses less than 5 mg per day Valerian •Can help with sleep taken at bedtime if the above isn’t working and or in addition to the above LEMON BALM tonic small dose in 4 oz water •Can help when waking up with “What ifs?” •0.6 ml in 4 oz water is a small dose without interactions taken at bedtime •Can help with sleep taken at bedtime if the above isn’t working and or in addition to the above
  17. Soothing mouth soreness  Marshmallow tea 1 tsp daily in

    8 oz water and sip on it  Glutamine 2000 mg solution held in the mouth then spit out  Frozen pineapple chunks sucked on  Biotene  Aloe vera 1 tsp – 2 tsp in tea with honey (can cause loose stools)  Acupuncture for dry mouth  1/2 tsp of baking soda and 1/2 tsp salt, 1 capsule of N-Aceytyl choline in 1 cup of water swish and spit.  15-20 ml Manuka honey 15 minutes prior to Radiation therapy and then every 15 minutes for 6 hours.  Royal bee jelly  https://www.dentaly.org/us/oral-health/mouth-taping/#FAQs –  A healthy toothpaste: use YUKA or www.askthedentist.com  A mineral supplement without copper can help protect the tooth integrity and for radiation to the upper body
  18. Chemotherapy Neuropathy – ok to take during chemo  Cold

  19. Supportive Supplements on chemo and Radiation ❑ NAUSEA ❑ Ginger

    tea/essential oil or 1 caps ❑ acupuncture - ask for a referral in the chat ❑ Peppermint and Peppermint essential oil ❑ Vaccaria seeds from Amazon on pressure points for nausea ❑ Zofran/ondansetron pills cause nausea- use Magnesium Oxide/citrate ❑ BUILDING NATURAL KILLER CELLS: ❑ Beta Glucans such as Turkey Tail, Reishi, Lions Mane mushrooms 1000 – 1500 mg twice a day (*not on Keytruda/OPDIVO anti PDL-1) ❑ Nutritional Yeast 2 tsp is a beta glucan – at the supermarket ❑ WHITE BLOOD CELLS: ❑ Eucalyptus oil under nose 4x/day or ❑ Astragalus tincture 1000 – 2000 mg twice daily (unless on Keytruda/Opdivo)
