Stamped From the Beginning Boards

Illustration Storyboard for the Netflix Documentary Stamped From the Beginning. The series of narrative illustrations became the opening shot of the film, depicting an slave ship uprising during a dramatic storm. Original drawings were provided by Brian McKissick, and painted and rendered by myself. In the final film, these boards were edited together as a story reel and the drawings were kept dirty and rough as an artistic expression of the violence that was depicted.
