    mobile phones - Residents of Matina Goals - Know the flood level in that area - Know the current weather conditions affecting flood water level Pain points - Difficulty in picking a location - Difficulty in refreshing weather values Solution - Refine wording for flood warnings - Make refresh button more visible - Add user instructions overlay on the application in picking a location
  7. Ask for feedback – be it your friends, your mentors,

    etc Validate your designs through usability testing We’re all human beings – treat others’ opinions as if it were your own Practice giving feedback too! Every Feedback Counts !
  8. Attend UX-related events (no, it doesn’t have to be super

    expensive) We’re always learning – don’t be afraid to ask questions Look for mentors you’re comfortable with Join UX-related orgs or facebook groups (and attend their events) Networking ! ! !
  9. Get real world experience Design for others, not for yourself

    Do not focus largely on tools, but on solving design problems Do not rush yourself Immerse Yourself
  10. What are the career options in UX? Is it really

    in demand? What if I’m not creative? Is it for tech-related courses only? Do I have to learn how to code/visual design/write?
  11. How do I get hired as a UX intern? Where

    can I apply as a UX intern? What do employers look for? Should I work in Freelance, Corporate or Startups?
