Daniel Blair is a technology entrepreneur focused on working with innovative new technologies. A graduate of Red River College's Business Information Technology program where he received various awards including the CEM Coop Student of the year (2014) coming in first place. Since then Dan has founded several companies a couple of which are Bit Space Development Ltd and PanoPla. Dan is the recipient of the 2016 Future Leaders of Manitoba award and received a certificate in 2016 for his work in applied research at CICAN for his work with Red River College.

Always trying to improve education Daniel regularly speaks at educational conferences like SAGE and EdCampWpg. Dan is a regular at local schools where he works with them to bring the newest technologies like 3D printing, virtual reality, and single board computing into the class room.

Daniel supports and organizes several community based groups including Winnipeg Android, a user group for Android developers and students. Some of the other community groups that Dan organizes and volunteers for are Winnipeg Web & Mobile Developers, Kids Code Winnipeg, and Ramp up Weekend.Dan was a finalist in Innovate Manitoba's Pitch Day 2015 competition as well as one of the winners of Ramp Up Weekend 7 in spring of 2015.

In addition to these entrepreneurial and community initiatives Dan has been working with Red River College's ACE (Accounting & Computer Eduction) department to mentor students and help build the ACE project space where students work with local start-up companies to build their skills and learn about business and technology. The space has been a huge success and has been presented to several delegate groups visiting the city and Manitoba to learn about the applied research being conducted.
