A talk that was given to various delegate groups vising Winnipeg Manitoba recently where we introduced them to our company and the project space. This short talk outlines some of the things we do and who our team is.

Who are we? • Winnipeg based start up company. • We’re focused on building interactive solutions to difficult problems. • A company founded by Red River College graduates with the intention of helping shape the future of technology. • Currently working with the Accounting & Computer Education (ACE) department to build an applied learning project space for current students.

What Do We Do? • Working with Red River College to help students get the best possible experience working with a start up company, exposing them to the newest technologies and pushing them to their limits. • We develop platforms that help people overcome complex technical boundaries (ex: making virtual reality accessible). • Consult educators and businesses on their technical needs while helping them embrace new technology like virtual reality and 3D printing.

8. So What Is PanoPla? • A tool for building virtual tours • An editor to add hotspots to any image like blueprints and medical slides • A platform for embedding and sharing your content

How It Works? • Shoot the content. ◦ Flat images work fine. ◦ Spherical images can be created with your cell phone or spherical camera. • Upload the image to PanoPla. • Let our servers process your image into our viewer (easily embedded). • Use our editor. • Add interactive hotspots to the image (drag & drop). • Share the image through social media. • Embed the virtual tour on your website. • View the panorama on any device (HTML5). • Load the spherical tours into Google Cardboard seamlessly.

12. The Challenge We set out to build a product that could help people build their own virtual reality experiences. Building off the skills taught in their course, the students were challenged to learn and experiment with new technologies.
13. PanoPla Success • One of the winners of Ramp up Weekend 7 • Finalist at Pitch Day 2015 • 5000+ users creating and sharing virtual tours • 30+ countries represented by user base • Created a fully functional product in a project space, built by RRC grads and students

What is the Project Space? - The Vision • A space where students work with industry to build their knowledge and learn from industry leaders. • An opportunity for the college to collaborate with startups in the industry. • A space for the students to experience working on a project from inception to completion while communicating with real clients and delivering real products.
